Thrive is leading a public-private collaboration to reduce the teen birth rate in Central Oklahoma and educate teens on safe sex practices.
Oklahoma is ranked top ten in the nation for cervical cancer related deaths. HPV is the main cause for cervical cancer and pre-cancer. Younger women are more likely to contract an HPV infection. The Federal Advisory Committee on Immunizations Practices recommends females 11 and 12 years old get vaccinated. Additionally, the ACIP recommends females 13 to 26, who have not been vaccinated, get “catch-up” vaccinations.
$1 of every purchase will be donated to Thrive OKC so that they can continue to educate our state on sex health issues.
